Location Mode vs. Content Group Mode
Overview
In Jolt, there are two primary modes for managing and storing content: Location Mode and Content Group Mode. Understanding these modes will help you effectively manage your content based on your organizational needs.
Location Mode
Purpose: Manages content specific to a single location.
Content Accessibility: Content created in Location Mode is only accessible at the location where it was created. It is not shared with other locations.
Use Case: Ideal for managing content unique to a particular site, such as location-specific tasks, checklists, or settings.
Content Group Mode
Purpose: Shares content across all locations within the Content Group.
Content Accessibility: Content created in Content Group Mode is accessible from every location within the same Content Group. This facilitates consistency and standardization across multiple locations.
Use Case: Useful for managing content that needs to be uniform across several locations, such as company-wide policies, standard operating procedures, or promotional materials.
