1. How to Run a Network Test
If you’re having trouble connecting to your printer via Wi-Fi, running a network test can help identify the issue. Here’s how to do it:
Prerequisites: You will need two devices for this test.
Steps:
Open the Printer Settings:
On your device, go to the Labels section.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) to access Printer Settings.
Select the Connection Tab.
Start the Network Test:
Tap Run Network Test.
Choose Your Test Mode:
You will see options for Host and Client.
On Device 1, select Host.
On Device 2, select Client.
Tap Next on both devices.
Complete the Test:
Device 1 will display a QR code.
Device 2 will need to scan this QR code or enter the IP address shown.
Tap Next to start the test.
Review the Results:
2. How to Reset Network Settings
Resetting your printer’s network settings should be your last step if other troubleshooting methods haven’t worked.
Steps:
Access Printer Settings:
Go to the Labels section.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) and select Printer Settings.
Choose the Connection Tab.
Initiate Network Reset:
Tap Reset Network Settings.
Confirm Reset:
A warning message will appear, asking if you want to proceed.
Tap Continue to confirm.
Reboot the Printer:
The printer will reboot, indicated by changes in the printer lights.
Reconnect Your Printer:
After the reboot, follow the Add Printer workflow to reconnect your printer to your network.
