Printer Settings: Status Tab

This guide helps you manage your printer settings, including pausing and resuming the printer, navigating the print queue, renaming the printer, and removing it if necessary.


Accessing Printer Settings

  1. Open the Jolt App:

    • Go to Labels.

    • Tap the three-dot menu and select Printer Settings.

Pausing and Resuming Your Printer

  1. Pause the Printer:

    • Select the Status tab for the Zebra printer you want to manage.

    • On the right side of the screen, check the printer’s status:

      • Green Check: Printer is ready.

      • Red Stop Sign: Printer is disconnected.

      • Yellow Triangle: Printer is paused.

    • To pause the printer, tap Pause Printing. It may take up to a minute for the printer to receive this command and update its status to a yellow triangle with "Paused" text.

  2. Resume the Printer:

    • Once you're ready to print again, tap Resume Printing. Allow up to a minute for the printer to start printing and show a green check.

  3. Verify Connection:

    • To check the printer’s status, tap Test Connection at the bottom of the screen.

Checking and Clearing the Print Queue

  1. Open Print Queue:

    • Go to the Status tab for the desired printer.

    • Tap Open Print Queue to slide open the queue drawer.

  2. Manage Print Jobs:

    • Empty Queue: Tap CLEAR ALL in the upper right corner.

    • Remove Individual Jobs: Tap the “X” next to the specific label you want to remove.

    • Retry All Jobs: Tap Retry All in the bottom banner to resend all pending print jobs.

Renaming Your Printer

  1. Rename the Printer:

    • Go to the Status tab for the printer you wish to rename.

    • Tap Rename Printer on the right side.

    • Enter the new name in the drawer that appears, and tap Save.

Removing Your Printer

  1. Remove the Printer:

    • In the Status tab for the printer you want to remove, tap Remove Printer on the right side.

    • A warning dialog will appear. Review the consequences of removing the printer.

    • Confirm by tapping Yes, Remove Printer.
