Calibrating Labels | Zebra Printer

Overview

Calibrating your Zebra printer is essential if you're experiencing issues such as printing off-center labels or blank labels. Follow these steps to align the printer’s sensors and ensure proper label calibration.

Pre-Calibrating Alignment

  1. Open the Printer

    • Locate the yellow sensor that slides horizontally inside the printer.

  2. Align the Sensor

    • Find the arrow on the sensor.

    • Locate the faint line and arrow on the grey plastic part of the printer.

    • Slide the yellow sensor tab so that the arrows are aligned.

  3. Load Labels

    • Place the labels under the yellow tabs.

    • Close the printer cover.

    • The printer will default to PAUSED mode. Press the Pause button on the printer to resume printing.

Calibrate the Printer

  1. Ensure Printer is On

    • Make sure the printer is plugged in and powered on.

  2. Initiate Calibration

    • Press and hold the Pause and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 6-7 seconds.

    • The printer will push out a few labels. This is normal during calibration.

  3. Verify Calibration

    • Print 1 or 2 test labels to confirm that the printer is working correctly and the labels are properly aligned.

Additional Tips

  • Check Label Placement: Ensure labels are loaded correctly under the tabs and are not skewed.

  • Clean Sensors: Regularly clean the sensor area to avoid dust or debris affecting calibration.

  • Firmware Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date for optimal performance.

By following these steps, you will calibrate your Zebra printer effectively, ensuring accurate and aligned label printing.
