What are custom fonts?

If you have access to editing Label content, you can add custom fonts to your account. Location admins can only add fonts for location(s) they manage. Content group admins/company admins, can add fonts for locations/content groups they manage.

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app.

  2. In the top right corner, make sure you have selected the correct location or Content Group.

Custom fonts will only be saved to the location/content group you’ve selected. If you upload the font in location mode, it will only be added to the specified location. If you upload a font in content group mode, it will be usable by all locations in the content group.

  3. Navigate to the Menu > Labeling > Label Templates.

  4. Select an existing template and select or create a text option.

  5. After clicking on a text item, select manage fonts to add a custom font.

  6. A modal window will appear. Please note the yellow banner at the top of the screen regarding font licenses before continuing. Select upload font (only ttf files are supported).

Note: fonts with special symbols or characters are compatible (e.g., Cyrillic alphabet).

  7. A new modal window will appear, allowing you to browse your local device. Search for and locate the custom font you wish to upload and click open.

  8. The font will upload within a few seconds. Click done in the bottom right corner to apply changes.

  9. The modal window will close, and you should now see the custom font in the template. The label preview will display the custom font. Click save in the upper right corner to apply changes.

Note: All labels and templates inherited through your subscription will have the custom font available.
