What is the Custom Rating Type?

The Custom Rating item type in Jolt Lists allows you to leverage Display Criteria with a single tap, making it ideal for dynamic checklists such as Digital Food Safety.

Requirements

  • Website Admin access, Company Admin access, or Content Group Admin access to edit lists on the web portal.

Setting Up Custom Rating Type on the Web Portal

  1. Navigate to Lists:

    • Go to Lists > Edit Lists on the Jolt Web Portal.

    • Select the list you want to add a Custom Rating item to.

  2. Add New Item:

    • Click the Blue + button and add a New Item.

    • Add your prompt text and set the minimum and maximum values under Sharing Settings. This affects the number of options displayed in the Jolt App.

  3. Assign Display Criteria:

    • Go through your list items that will use the Custom Rating item.

    • Assign their Display Criteria.

    • Save your changes once your list is ready.

Using Custom Rating Type in the App

Example: Digital Food Safety checklist for grill items.

  • Scenario: You have 10 measurement items for burger patties, but only need to temp 3 for the current run.

  • Steps:

    • Use the Custom Rating item type to modify the list.

    • Select 3 as the run size.

    • The list automatically displays 3 temperature items instead of the full 10.
