Probe Stabilization Settings

Customize the probe stabilization settings on your Jolt app to ensure accurate temperature readings and recordings.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Device Admin permissions to customize these settings.

Instructions

  1. Open the Jolt app and navigate to Tools > Temperature.

  2. Select the gear icon on the top right to access probe settings.

Probe Settings

  1. Auto Record: Specific Range(s) — automatically records temperatures when they match the specific range(s) set for the item.

  2. Auto Record: Food Safety Range — records temperatures automatically when below 50°F (refrigerated) or above 130°F (cooked).

  3. Require Temperature Stabilization — requires the probe to stabilize before recording. The probe takes multiple readings and is ready when readings are within the accuracy rating and sensitivity setting.

  4. Require Temperature Change — ensures the probe registers a temperature change between items. Clean the probe before measuring the next item.

  5. Beep When Temperature Recorded — emits a sound to alert the employee to move to the next item once a temperature is recorded.

  6. Summary Screen Duration — sets how long the summary screen displays. The screen color (Blue, Red, or Green) indicates whether temperatures are within or outside target range.

  7. Probe Calibration — adjusts stabilization time and accuracy for the Require Temperature Stabilization and Require Temperature Change settings.
