Probe Settings

  1. Auto Record: Specific Range(s)

    • Description: Automatically records temperatures when they match the specific range(s) set for the item.

    • Setup: Configure the range on the item within the List Template on the Jolt Web Portal. For more details, refer to the Measurement List Item Type article.

  2. Auto Record: Food Safety Range

    • Description: Records temperatures automatically when below 50º F (refrigerated) or above 130º F (cooked).

    • Note: Adjust this range by setting specific ranges in the Auto Record: Specific Range(s) setting. A range must be added to the measurement item on the List Template.

  3. Require Temperature Stabilization

    • Description: Requires the probe to stabilize before recording. The probe takes multiple readings and will only be ready when the readings are within the accuracy rating and match the sensitivity setting.

    • Example: The probe will be ready after five consecutive readings with a variance of less than 0.5°.

    • Note: This setting is necessary for Auto Record.

  4. Require Temperature Change

    • Description: Ensures that the probe registers a temperature change between items. After recording an item, the probe must show a sufficient temperature change before recording the next item.

    • Example: If the probe is removed and the air temperature changes, the probe should be cleaned before measuring the next item.

    • Note: This setting is necessary for Auto Record.

  5. Beep When Temperature Recorded

    • Description: Emits a sound to alert the employee to move to the next item once a temperature is recorded.

  6. Summary Screen Duration

    • Description: Sets how long the summary screen displays after recording a temperature.

    • Note: Adjust the color of the summary screen (Blue, Red, or Green) on the List Template within the Jolt Web Portal. This color helps visually indicate whether temperatures are within or outside the target range.
