Location Switching in the Jolt App

This feature allows you to connect multiple locations to a single tablet or phone, enabling staff to manage location visits by reviewing digital food safety and operational reporting on-the-go or on-site.

Setting Up Location Switching

Step 1: Download and Connect to Your First Location

  1. Download the Jolt App

    • Install the Jolt app on your tablet or phone.

  2. Connect to Your First Location

    • Follow the instructions in the article Connect a Device to a Location | Standard to connect to your first location.

Step 2: Adding Additional Locations

  1. Open the Jolt App

    • Tap on Settings in the main menu.

  2. Navigate to Locations

    • Select Locations.

  3. Add a New Location

    • Click the blue + button at the bottom of the page.

    • Enter the user's Account Access email and password or scan the location's QR Code, then click Submit.

  4. Select and Connect to the Desired Location

    • The locations connected to the user will be displayed.

    • Click the desired location to connect to it, then click Continue.

    • The app will start importing all the files for the new location.

Step 3: Switching Between Locations

  1. Open the Jolt App

    • Tap on Settings in the main menu.

  2. Navigate to Locations

    • Select Locations.

  3. Choose the Location to Switch To

    • Select the location you want to switch to.

    • This may import any changes that have occurred since the last time the location was opened.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage multiple locations within the Jolt app, ensuring seamless access to digital food safety and operational reporting across different sites.
