How to Connect a Device to a Location Using the Jolt Mobile App

The Jolt App is designed to connect to one location at a time. Here's a detailed guide to help you get started:


For Personal (Single User) Devices:

  1. Download the App:

    • Download and install the Jolt app on your phone or tablet.

    • Approve any app-permission requests.

  2. Login:

    • Open the app and tap on Sign In.

    • Enter your username and password (same as your Jolt Web Portal credentials) and tap on Continue.

  3. Select Location:

    • A list of all accessible locations will appear. Select your desired location and tap Continue.

    • The data will begin importing to your device.

  4. Access Features:

    • Once the import is complete, you can access all features for your location.

  5. Connect Additional Locations:

    • Go to Settings > Locations.

    • Tap the + sign and repeat the process.
      ​

For Shared Tablets (Multiple Employees):

  1. Prepare Your Tablet:

    • Ensure you have a desktop computer logged into Jolt.com as an admin.

  2. Connect to a Location:

    • On the tablet, tap on Connect to a Location.

    • Tap Scan QR Code.

  3. Generate QR Code:

    • On the Jolt web portal, go to Settings > Devices.

    • Generate a QR code for your location and scan it with your tablet.

  4. Import Data:

    • The data will begin importing to the tablet. Note that each QR code can only be used once. Refresh the page to generate a new code for additional tablets.

  5. Employee Access:

    • Employees can use the device by entering their PIN to record their work.
