Replacing a Sensor | Jolt Mobile App

Overview: If you need to replace a damaged or outdated LoRa sensor, you can easily do so through the Jolt mobile app. This process ensures that your temperature history and custom alerts are preserved, even if you are upgrading from Bluetooth sensors to LoRa sensors.

Prerequisites:

  • Jolt Mobile App: Ensure you have the latest version of the Jolt app installed.

  • New Sensor: Have the new LoRa sensor and its QR code ready.

Instructions:

1. Open the Jolt Mobile App:

  • Locate and tap on the Jolt app icon on your mobile device to launch the app.

2. Navigate to Sensors:

  • From the main menu or dashboard, select Sensors to view the list of all sensors associated with your account.

3. Select the Sensor to Replace:

  • Browse through the list and tap on the sensor you wish to replace. This will open the sensor's detailed settings page.

4. Access More Options:

  • Look for the More Options button, typically represented by three dots (•••) in the top-right corner of the sensor details page. Tap on it to reveal additional options.

5. Choose Replace Sensor:

  • In the menu that appears, select Replace Sensor. This option allows you to initiate the replacement process.

6. Scan the New Sensor’s QR Code:

  • Hold your mobile device’s camera over the QR code on the new sensor to scan it. Ensure the QR code is well-lit and clearly visible for accurate scanning.

7. Confirm Sensor Replacement:

  • Once the QR code is successfully scanned, the app will automatically replace the old sensor with the new one. Your temperature history, alerts, and any other settings tied to the old sensor will be retained.

Additional Tips:

  • Check Sensor Compatibility: Ensure the new sensor is compatible with your system and is a LoRa sensor if you are transitioning from Bluetooth sensors.

  • Verify Data Synchronization: After replacing the sensor, verify that data from the new sensor is being recorded correctly in the app.

  • Contact Support: If you encounter any issues or if the new sensor does not appear in the app, contact Jolt Support for assistance at 877-396-4112 Ext. 1.
