How to Use the Sublist Item Type to Organize Checklists
The Sublist item type is a useful feature in the Jolt app that helps you organize lengthy checklists by adding a secondary list within a parent list. This makes it easier for employees to focus on and complete tasks. To use this feature, you need to be on Current Pricing with the Jolt App and have a separate list template ready for use as your Sublist.
Setting Up a Sublist
Login to the Jolt Web Portal:
Access the Jolt Web Portal using your credentials.
Navigate to Lists:
Go to Lists from the main menu and select Edit Lists.
Create or Select a List:
Add a Sublist Item:
Click + Add New Item and select Sublist from the dropdown menu.
Configure the Sublist:
Prompt Text: Enter descriptive text that explains what the Sublist is for.
Allow Users to Mark as:
N/A (Not Applicable): Check this box if the Sublist is optional. This allows users to mark the item as “Not Applicable.”
Out of Order: Check this box if the item is “Out of Order” (e.g., for machinery or appliances). This allows users to mark the item as “Out of Order.”
Attach Media (Optional): Use the Information Library to attach any relevant media, such as images or documents.
Select the Sublist Template:
Under Sub Lists Options, choose the Sublist template you want to use from the dropdown menu.
Save Your Changes:
Click Save in the top right corner to save the Sublist settings. You will be returned to your parent list, where you can continue to add other List Item types or additional Sublists.
