Scheduling Shifts - Mark as Volume
Overview
The "Mark as Volume" option allows you to schedule shifts without a specific end time, depending on the workload or customer volume. This feature is useful if you want to indicate to employees that their shift may end early if there is not enough work or if the store is not busy.
Requirements
To enable the "Mark as Volume" option, you need to have one of the following admin roles:
Location Website Admin
Content Group Admin
Company Admin
How to Enable Mark as Volume
1. Log In to the Jolt Web Portal
Access the Web Portal: Open your web browser and log in to the Jolt Web Portal with your admin credentials.
2. Go to the Scheduling Section
Navigate to Scheduling: In the main menu, click on "Scheduling" and then select "Make Schedule."
3. Select or Create a Shift
Choose an Existing Shift or Create a New One: Find the shift you want to modify or set up a new shift.
4. Enable the "Mark as Volume" Option
Locate the Mark as Volume Option: Look for the "Mark as Volume" checkbox or option in the shift settings.
Set an End Time: Ensure that the shift has an end time set so the system can estimate the hours. The end time will be displayed as "Volume" on the schedule if not otherwise specified.
5. Publish the Schedule
Publish Options: When you are ready to publish the schedule, you will see options under "Publish Options."
Display End Times: You can choose to display estimated end times for shifts marked as "Volume." If you opt out, employees will see "Volume" as the end time on their schedule.
Show Estimated End Time: If selected, the estimated end time (e.g., 10:30 PM) will be shown on the employees' schedules.
Additional Information
Volume Shifts: These are shifts that may end early based on the actual workload or customer volume.
End Time Estimation: Providing an estimated end time helps employees plan their day better.
