How to Set Up and Use Flags in Lists on the Jolt Web Portal

Flags help you label specific conditions when completing Measurement or Yes/No list items. This feature allows employees to be notified about actions that need attention.

Note: This feature requires the Current Pricing plan with the Jolt App.

Steps to Set Up Flags

  1. Log In to the Jolt Web Portal

    • Access the Jolt Web Portal and go to Lists > Edit Lists.

  2. Create or Select a List

    • Either create a new list or choose an existing one that you want to modify.

  3. Edit a List Item

    • Open the Measurement or Yes/No list item where you want to add flags.

  4. Enable Flags

    • Find the Flags section and enable Add flags to this item based on answer of this item.

  5. Add Flags

    • For Yes/No Items: Default options are Yes or No.

    • For Measurement Items: Default options are In Range and Out of Range.

  6. Customize Your Flags

    • To add more flags, click the dropdown menu and select Manage Flags.

  7. Create a Flag

    • Name the Flag: For example, "Temperature is out of range" or "Temperature is good".

    • Choose a Text Color: Select a color that will be visible and meaningful.

    • Insert a Symbol or Characters: You can use a symbol or type up to three characters for easy identification.

    • Click Add Flag to create more flags as needed.

Viewing Flags on the Jolt App

  1. Complete Measurement Items

    • When employees complete a list item on the Jolt App, the corresponding flag will be displayed.

  2. Identify Flags

    • The symbol or color you set for each flag will appear, indicating specific conditions or actions required.

Additional Tips:

  • Manage Flags Regularly: Keep your flags updated to reflect any changes in processes or conditions.

  • Ensure Clarity: Use clear and descriptive names for flags to avoid confusion among employees.

For more information on using flags and other list features, refer to the Jolt App User Guide.
