How to Enable/Disable List Completion and Information Library Access on Personal Devices
This guide will help you set up permissions to complete lists on the Jolt app for users in personal mode, including how to use Geo-Fencing for location-based list access.
Understanding List Completion Permissions
Lists can be completed on a personal device (personal mode) or a shared device (shared mode). The chosen mode is selected when you first sign into a device.
You can control list access in different ways:
Always Allow Access: Lists can be completed from any location and device at any time.
Allow Access with Geo-Fence: Lists can only be completed within specific geographical areas you define.
โDo Not Allow Access: Lists can only be completed on devices connected in shared device mode (like tablets in-store).
How to Configure List Completion Permissions
1. Log in to the Jolt Web Portal
Go to the Jolt Web Portal and log in with your credentials.
2. Access Location Settings
Navigate to Settings in the main menu.
Click on Locations to view your list of locations.
Select the location you want to configure.
3. Configure Device and Location Access
Under Device and Location Access, choose the access settings that suit your needs:
Always Allow Access: Check this option to enable list completion from any device at any location.
Allow Access with Geo-Fence: Set up Geo-Fencing by defining specific geographical areas where list completion is permitted. You can create multiple Geo-Fences as needed.
Do Not Allow Access: Select this option to restrict list completion to devices connected to the location.
After selecting the appropriate settings, click Save to apply the changes.
Setting Up Geo-Fencing
1. Define Geo-Fences
Under Allow Access with Geo-Fence, you can set up specific locations where list completion is allowed.
Use the map or location settings to define these areas. Ensure that your device's location services are enabled to properly use Geo-Fencing.
2. Save Geo-Fence Settings
Review your Geo-Fence settings.
Click Save to apply these settings.
