Zebra Printer Setup Guide

Choose the Correct Setup Option for Your Device and App

Follow these steps to set up your Zebra Printer with Jolt, depending on the device and app you are using. Make sure to choose the correct setup option for a smooth installation.

1. Wireless Connections

For Jolt on Apple and Android Devices:

  1. Ensure Updates: Make sure the Jolt App is updated to the latest version.

  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Your printer and device should be connected to the same private or password-protected Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz network is recommended for stability).

  3. Printer Setup:

    • Turn on your Zebra Printer and make sure it’s in wireless mode.

    • Open the Jolt App on your device.

    • Go to the printer setup section within the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.

    • Enter the network details if prompted to connect your printer to the Wi-Fi.

  4. Test Connection: Print a test page from the app to ensure the connection is working.

For Jolt Legacy Users:

  • Third Generation iPads or Higher (Mini, Pro, Air, etc.):

    • Follow the Zebra Printer | Jolt Legacy Setup guide for detailed instructions.

  • Second Generation iPads:

    • Follow the Zebra Printer | iPad 2 Setup guide for specific instructions.

2. Cable Connections

For Android Devices:

  1. Ensure Updates: Verify that both the Jolt App and your Android device's operating system are up-to-date.

  2. Connect Printer via USB:

    • Connect the Zebra Printer to your Android device using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable.

    • Open the Jolt App on your Android device.

    • Navigate to the printer setup section and select the connected printer.

  3. Test Connection: Print a test page to confirm that the connection is successful.

For Jolt Legacy Users:

Important Notes:

  1. Update Everything: Ensure all apps, software, and device firmware are updated to the latest versions for a seamless setup.
