Clearing Jolt Application Storage (JPS)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you're experiencing issues like slow performance, glitches, or unexpected errors in your Jolt app, clearing the app cache on your JPS (Jolt Print Station) device can often resolve the problem. This quick maintenance step helps remove temporary files that may be causing the app to misbehave without affecting your saved data. In this article, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to clear the app cache on your JPS, so you can get back to using Jolt smoothly and efficiently.

1. Open the System Dashboard:

  • Slide down from the top of the screen twice to open the system dashboard.

  • Tap the gear icon to open Settings. On newer devices, you might need to swipe down about 1 inch from the top-right corner of the screen. The gear icon will be located in the bottom third of the buttons, to the right of the Power button.

2. Access App Settings:

  • Tap on “Apps & notifications.” On newer versions, this might just be labeled “Apps.”

  • Tap “SEE ALL APPS” and find Jolt in the list. Tap on it.

3. Clear Storage & Cache

  • Select Storage & cache

  • You will see the options to clear data

  • If prompted, select DELETE to clear the data

4. go back home!

  • Select the Home Button, (or circle at the bottom.) Some models may not have this button in which case you can select Open. This will navigate back to Jolt.

Make sure to accept any device prompts for permissions like location services
