The Home Screen on the app lets users connected to Jolt on a personal device see all of the work orders assigned to them from any location. This helps a technician plan out their day. You can tap on the work order cards on the Home Screen to switch locations and make changes to that work order.
Before You Begin
For the best user experience, make sure you connect your device to Jolt in Personal Mode. For more information on how to do that, see the article Single-User vs. Multi-User Device Modes in Jolt.
When you are connected to Jolt, you will only see work orders from locations you have permissions to.
You will only see work orders types if your role is assigned to the template. See Creating Work Order Templates for more information on how to change this.
Keep in mind that work orders that are created on another device or on the Web Portal must have a chance to sync down to the device in use before they will display.
Using the Home Screen
Default screens when logging in:
If you have a subscription to Time Clock, and your device is set to allow clock punches, Time Clock will be on the first tab of the Home Screen.
Otherwise, you will see the legacy Home Screen.
If you are a Scheduling user, and you’re connected in personal mode, you will land on the Scheduling tab by default and can just tap on the Home module on the menu to see the Home Screen.
Default filters on Home screen.
Note: If your device doesn’t show all the filters, you can scroll on the filter bar to see more.
Tap on the Home module in the menu and tap the Work Orders tab to see the work order cards.
Users will see cards for work orders where:
They have access to the work order location.
They are in a role that has access to the work order type.
Each card has:
User avatar
Work order location
Work order summary
Work order due date
Work order number
Work order status
Work order priority
To learn more about setting the status and priority, see the Settings section in Creating Work Order Templates
The filters default to:
All locations
The logged in user’s work orders (the ones assigned to that user)
All statuses
All priorities
Change the filters:
Tap a filter button to open the side sheet.
Select options in the side sheet to change which work order cards display
Use the Clear Selection button to reset to the default filters
Having nothing selected works the same as having everything selected.
Tap a card to view the work order:
If the work order is in another location, the app will automatically switch locations.
Once you switch locations, you can navigate to Work Orders on the app to see the list of work orders for that location.
