How to Add Media to a List Item in Jolt
What is the purpose of adding media to a list item?
Adding media (such as images, videos, or documents) to a list item helps employees understand how to complete tasks according to specific expectations. This feature ensures clarity and accuracy by providing visual references directly within the task list.
How do I add media to a list item in Jolt?
Login to the Jolt Web Portal:
Open your web browser and log in to the Jolt Web Portal with your credentials.
Navigate to Lists:
From the main menu, select Lists, then click on Edit Lists.
Create or Edit a List:
To create a new list, click Create List. To modify an existing list, select it from the list of available options.
Select a List Item:
Choose the list item you want to add media to. Click on it to open its settings.
Add Media from the Information Library:
Under the Information Library section, click Choose A File. This will allow you to attach media files to the list item.
Search or Browse for the File:
Find the media file you want to attach. You can search for it or browse through categories and subcategories.
Set Display Options:
Display Attached File Inline: Check this option if you want the media to be visible directly within the task item. This makes it easy for employees to see the media while viewing the list.
Hidden Behind "i" Icon: If you don't check this option, the media will be accessible by clicking the "i" icon next to the task item.
Select the Media:
Click Select to attach the media file to the list item.
Save Your Changes:
Click Save at the top of the page to ensure that your changes are applied to the list.
What does it look like when media is added to a list item?
With Inline Display: The media appears directly within the task item, making it visible while the list is open.
With "i" Icon: An "i" icon will appear next to the task item, and the media will be accessible by clicking this icon.
