How to Create and Customize Label Templates in Jolt

Creating and customizing label templates in Jolt allows you to design labels that meet your specific needs. Follow these steps to set up your label templates effectively.

Before You Start

  • Training Recommendation: For the best results, it's recommended to get training from your Jolt Customer Success or Implementation Manager.

Setting Up Label Templates

  1. Log In to the Jolt Web Portal

    • Open your web browser and go to the Jolt Web Portal.

    • Log in with your credentials.

  2. Access Labeling Section

    • Navigate to Labeling in the main menu.

    • Click on Label Templates.

  3. Create a New Template

Click on New Template.

Choose a Template Type

  • Enter a Template Name: Give your template a descriptive name.

  • Select a Template Type:

    • Starter Template: Choose from pre-made templates if they meet your needs.

    • Blank Template: Opt for a blank template to create a design from scratch.

    • Advanced Options: Note that advanced features might be complex for beginners.

  1. Customize Your Template

    • Click on Create: This will open the template editor for customization.

    • Add Rows and Columns:

    • Add Items to Rows:

      • Insert items into the rows and columns. For guidance, see Add Items to Label Templates.

    • Adjust Layout:

      • Drag and Drop: Click and drag items or sections to rearrange them.

      • Change Dimensions: Adjust the label size by following the instructions in Change Label Size in a Template. The template will automatically resize according to your changes.

  2. Save Your Template

    • After making your changes, be sure to click Save before leaving the page to ensure your work is not lost.
