How to Export and Import Lists in Jolt

Introduction

Jolt allows you to efficiently manage and share your checklists and lists by exporting and importing them. This guide will help you understand how to export lists from Jolt, edit them, and import them back into Jolt.

1. Exporting Lists

Why Export?

Exporting lists is useful for sharing checklists with other locations, editing multiple lists, or creating similar lists in different locations or content groups.

Steps to Export Lists:

  1. Log In to the Jolt Web Portal:

    • Access your Jolt account via your web browser.

  2. Navigate to Lists:

    • Go to Lists and then select Browse Lists.

  3. Filter the List:

    • Use the filter options to find the list(s) you want to export. You can filter by list name or other criteria.

  4. Select Date or Date Range:

    • Choose the appropriate date or date range when the list was completed. If you’re unsure, you can select Past Year.

  5. Download as CSV:

    • Click Download as CSV to start the export process.

    • A popup will appear. Choose an instance of the list to download. You’ll need to do this for each list.

  6. Save the CSV File:

    • A CSV file will be downloaded to your computer. Open this file using a spreadsheet editor like Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

  7. Edit the CSV File:

    • In your spreadsheet editor, delete any unnecessary columns. Ensure that you keep the required fields: Item Type (e.g., Checkmark, Photo) and Prompt.
