Benefits of Enforcing Unique PINs
If everyone at a location on Jolt has a unique PIN, users at that location can skip the step of selecting their name before entering their PIN to log in to the Jolt mobile app on a shared device. This creates a much faster login experience. Without unique PINs, users will be required to first find and select their name before entering their PIN.
Setting Unique PINs
To make sure all of the users in your location have unique PINs, follow these steps:
Method 1 - For Locations with Few People and/or Duplicate PINs
Sign into the Jolt Web Portal:
Navigate to the People tab.
Ensure you have the correct permissions to see everyone’s PIN in the PIN column.
Sort and Identify Duplicates:
Click on the PIN column header to sort the people list by PIN.
Scan the list to look for duplicate PINs.
Update Duplicate PINs:
Click on a person with a duplicate PIN to open their profile.
Update the PIN in the Shared Device Access panel.
Click Save to save the profile.
Method 2 - Using Bulk Edit People
Sign into the Jolt Web Portal:
Navigate to the People tab.
Access Bulk Edit:
Click the Bulk Edit button to show the Bulk Edit People page.
Update PINs:
Change the PINs for all people who need updates.
Click Save All to update the PINs.
