How to Delete Employees on the Jolt Web Portal

Overview: This guide will help you understand how to manage employee profiles on the Jolt Web Portal, including deactivating and deleting profiles. Please note that employees cannot be permanently deleted; instead, their profiles can be deactivated or marked as deleted.

Prerequisites: To delete or deactivate employee profiles, you must have one of the following admin roles:

  • Location Website Admin

  • Content Group Admin

  • Company Admin


Steps to Manage Employee Profiles:

  1. Log in to the Jolt Web Portal.

    • Go to the Jolt Web Portal and sign in with your admin credentials.

  2. Navigate to the "People" Section.

    • Click on the People tab from the main menu.

  3. Access Tabs for Profile Management.

    • You will see four tabs in the top left corner: People Without Roles, Deleted People, and two other tabs for different employee statuses.


Managing Employees Without Roles:

When an employee leaves or their role is terminated, it’s recommended to remove their role rather than deleting their profile. This ensures that historical data remains intact for reporting purposes.

  1. Select the Employee Profile.

    • Find and click on the profile of the employee you want to manage.

  2. Remove All Roles.

    • In the profile details, go to the Roles section and uncheck all the boxes to remove their roles.

  3. Save Changes.

    • Click Save. The profile will move to the People Without Roles tab and will no longer have access to Jolt. The profile will still be available for reporting purposes.


Deleting Employee Profiles:

Use this option for handling duplicate profiles, errors, or other exceptional cases. Be cautious as deleting profiles can affect reporting and future logins.

  1. Open the Unwanted Profile.

    • Find and select the profile you wish to delete.

  2. Delete the Profile.

    • In the top right corner, click on Delete Person.

  3. Save Changes.

    • Click Save. The profile will be moved to the Deleted People tab.
