Steps to Edit Schedule Settings

  1. Login to Jolt Web Portal:

    • Access your Jolt Web Portal account.

  2. Navigate to Schedule Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Locations.

    • Select the Location Name you want to modify.

    • Scroll down to Schedule Settings.

  3. Configure Schedule Notice:

    • Schedule Notice: This message will be visible with your schedule and sent via text or email to employees when the schedule is published. It can also be viewed in Jolt Lite.

  4. Allow Employees to Set a Preferred Schedule:

    • Allow Employees to Set a Preferred Schedule: Enable this option to let employees choose their preferred working hours. You can disable this feature anytime if needed.

  5. Require Reason for Preferred Schedule:

    • Require Employees to Give a Reason: If checked, employees must provide a reason when requesting preferred hours.

  6. Show Contact Information:

    • Show Contact Information: Choose this option to allow employees to access contact details of their colleagues within Jolt Lite.

  7. Manage Request Timing:

    • Days Before Time Off, Availability, and Preferred Requests: Specify how many days in advance employees can submit requests. Note that the start of the week can be adjusted under Company or Location Settings.

  8. Set Maximum Weekly Hours:

    • Maximum Weekly Hours: Define the maximum number of hours an employee can work per week. Although the system will alert you if an employee exceeds this limit, you can still schedule additional hours if necessary.

  9. Allow Unpaid Breaks:

    • Allow Unpaid Breaks: Enable this feature to include unpaid breaks in schedules. Set a default break length that will automatically apply to each shift.

  11. Default Notification Methods:

    • Default Notification Methods: Choose whether employees receive notifications via text or email. This can also be adjusted on individual employee profiles.

  12. Send Shift Reminders:

    • Send Reminder Before a Scheduled Shift Starts: Set up reminders to notify employees before their shifts begin, with options ranging from 5 minutes to 120 minutes in advance.

  13. Block Time Off Requests:

    • Block Time Off Requests: Specify date ranges when employees cannot submit time off requests.

  14. Always Show All Shifts in Schedule Builder:

    • Always Show All Shifts: Enable this feature to display all shifts for employees with multiple roles, avoiding scheduling overlaps. If this view is overwhelming, you can disable it to simplify the display to one role at a time.
