Calibrating a MGT Series Weight Scale

How to calibrate an MGT weight scale.

  • This article will go over the process for calibrating an MGT series weight scales.

  • These instructions are only for the MGT-30 and MGT-60 model scales.

  • A calibration weight is required to complete this process

  • ***This process should only be attempted by a certified weights and measure technician or inspector.***

To calibrate your MG-T 30 or MG-T 60 scale follow the below numbered directions.

  1. Press the Key to turn on scale.

  2. press the Key during start up: the display will show "F0 BL"

  3. press the Key until display shows "TECH"

    ***Before Entering the Tech Parameter, you must press the calibration switch. The Switch is located underneath the scale. ***

    1. To Access the switch you must first remove the wire tamper seal

    2. Then remove the bolt closer to the edge of the scale that is on the ridge

    3. Use a small diameter screwdriver or unfolded paper clip to reach in and press the switch.

  4. Press the Key to confirm; the display will show "APPROV"

  5. Press the key to select "P1 CAL"

  6. Press the key to confirm: the display will show "CAL LB"

  7. Press the key to select "CAL lb" or "CAL kg"

  8. Press the key to confirm; the display will show "UNLOAD"

  9. Press the key: the display will show the current calibration weight value.

  10. Press the key to confirm; the display will show "load"

  11. Place the test weight on the platter.

  12. Once the stable indicator is shown on the display, press the key; the display will show "PASS" and enter normal weighing mode.

If the display shows an error message or an incorrect measurement, repeat the calibration process again.
