Role-Based Admin Access | Jolt Web Portal

Learn how to assign different levels of role access on the Jolt Web Portal to manage permissions effectively. This guide will help you understand how to set up roles and assign the appropriate access levels to employees based on their responsibilities.

Prerequisites

Before you can edit role access levels on the Jolt Web Portal, make sure you have one of the following admin settings:

  • Location Website Admin

  • Content Group Admin

  • Company Admin

Instructions

  1. Login to the Jolt Web Portal

    • Use your admin credentials to log in.

  2. Navigate to Role Settings

    • Go to Settings and then select Roles.

    • Open the role you want to edit, or choose Role Access Settings to update permissions for multiple roles.

  3. Understand Role Types and Permissions

    • Location Website Admin

      • Access Level: Full access to all features.

      • Permissions: Edit and view Lists, Labeling, Schedule, Time Clock, Profiles, and more. Scheduling and Report Admin permissions are included.

      • Ideal For: Admins who need comprehensive control over all aspects of the Jolt Web Portal.

    • Device Admin

      • Access Level: Manage device profiles and app settings.

      • Permissions: Create and manage profiles on devices using the Jolt App. Learn more in the Advanced Jolt App Settings article.

      • Ideal For: Users responsible for device management and configuration.

    • Logbook Admin

      • Access Level: Manage logbook entries.

      • Permissions: View, manage, and comment on all logbook entries.

      • Ideal For: Admins who oversee logbook activities and entries.

    • Scheduling Admin

      • Access Level: Manage schedules.

      • Permissions: Publish and edit schedules, approve schedule requests. No access to pay rates or revenue models.

      • Ideal For: Admins focused on scheduling and shift management.

    • Report Admin

      • Access Level: View all reports.

      • Permissions: Access reports in the review section, including time clock labor reports, sensor reports, and labeling reports.

      • Ideal For: Users who need to generate and review various reports.

    • Sensor Admin

      • Access Level: Manage sensors and data.

      • Permissions: Manage sensors, set notifications, and view sensor data.

      • Ideal For: Admins handling sensor management and data analysis.

  4. Update and Save

    • After adjusting the access levels and permissions for each role, make sure to save your changes.
