Accessing Content Groups and Deactivating Labels in Jolt Software

Purpose

Help users access a content group and deactivate labels within Jolt Software.

Overview

Content Groups organize labels across locations, while labels can be activated or deactivated based on operational needs.

To manage a label, users must first access the correct content group.

Accessing a Content Group

To view content groups:

  • Log in to the Jolt Web Portal

  • Use the location or group selector to switch to the desired Content Group

  • Confirm you are viewing the correct group before making changes

If a content group is not visible, it may be due to role or permission restrictions.

Deactivating a Label

Once inside the correct content group:

1. Locate the Label

  • Find the label you want to deactivate within the list

2. Open Label Settings

  • Select the label to open its settings or details view

3. Deactivate the Label

  • Use the available options menu (often shown as a three-dot menu)

  • Select Deactivate

  • Confirm the action if prompted

The label will no longer be active after deactivation.

Important Notes

  • Deactivated labels may no longer appear on devices or in workflows

  • Only users with appropriate permissions can access or modify content groups

  • Changes may require device or system sync to fully reflect

Troubleshooting

If you cannot find a content group or label:

  • Verify you are in the correct location or group context

  • Confirm your role has permission to manage labels

  • Check whether the label has already been deactivated

Support Guidance

  • Always confirm content group context before troubleshooting label issues

  • Treat missing labels as either permission or status (active/inactive) issues

  • Avoid assuming UI-specific steps are universal across all accounts
