Work Orders is a feature that may need to be added to your account before it can be used. Please make sure you have access to the Jolt mobile app before you begin.
Creating a Work Order
Log into the mobile app and tap on Lists.
Tap Work Orders > Open Work Orders.
Tap the blue plus button to display the list of templates.
Note: Your role must be assigned to the template for it to display in this list.
Select a template.
In the summary field, enter a short description of the issue.
Due date, expiration, and assignment are optional. Tap any of them to make a change if desired.
Tap Create to start the work order.
Changing a Work Order
Work orders are sorted by created date/time, displaying work orders in descending order from newest to oldest.
Select the work order from the list and tap an item to change the value.
If the work order is already assigned, select the work order in the list and tap the user's avatar to open the summary screen. Tap assign to and select another user.
If the work order isn't assigned to anyone, select the work order in the list and tap more options in the summary bar. Select Edit Work Order from the bottom sheet.
Tap assign to and select another user.
To change the summary, select the work order from the list and tap more options in the summary bar to open the bottom sheet.
Tap Edit Work Order to display the summary screen, then select the summary row and change the summary.
Select save changes.
If you wish to delete a work order:
Tap more options in the summary bar to open the bottom sheet.
Select delete work order. In the modal window, tap yes, delete.
If you wish to change the due/expiration date:
Tap more options in the blue summary bar to open the bottom sheet.
Select Edit Work Order to display the summary screen.
Tap on the date field and select a new date.
Select save changes.
Closing a Work Order
Locate the work order and complete all required items.
The required button displays on every item that must be completed, and tapping the button displays the reason why.
Once all required items are complete, tap the Close Work Order button. The work order is moved to the Closed Work Orders folder.
To view closed work orders, tap the back arrow button in the top left corner and select the Closed Work Orders folder.
Using Posts on a Work Order
Navigate to posts and select a work order from the list.
Tap the posts tab on the right.
Tap the Write a Post button and enter the text you would like to include for the work order.
Optionally, enter the @ symbol to see a list of users you can mention in the post.
The list of people you can mention is filtered to people who have access to the work order location and are in an authorized role for the template.
Select a user to receive a notification about the work order.
Tap the Add post to Logbook checkbox if you're using Jolt Logbook and want the entry to appear in the Logbook.
Optionally, tap the Video or Camera icon to attach media to the post.
Tap the Post button to publish.
Once a post has been made on a work order, you can start a new thread by tapping on the Posts tab and selecting the New Thread button.
If you wish to flag or resolve a post:
When writing a post, tap the Flag button.
This will cause a red flag to appear by the work order in the list and on the web app, calling attention to issues that need to be resolved.
Once an issue has been resolved, you can tap the check icon to remove the flag and mark as resolved.
If you wish to watch for post notifications:
When a work order has unread posts, a red dot appears by the work order.
Tap on the Posts tab to view the post and mark it as read.
Note: Jolt keeps track of the number of comments and viewers on posts.
To see who viewed a post, select the work order and tap on the Posts tab.
Select the Views count above the comment section to display a modal window for Entry Readers.
To change the way the work orders are sorted in your list, tap the sort icon at the top. You can sort by creation and due date in ascending/descending order.
